Guardians & Parents
Guardians must be 18 years or older, available to help in case of a medical emergency, and willing to drive the attendee home if needed. Camp Ladore does not have designated counselors, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to keep track of the attendee while at camp. This includes:
- making sure That they are following the rules.
- Making sure they are at the meals, classes, and other required activities.
- making sure that they are not being disruptive during classes and other activities.
- Making sure that they are in their cabins before curfew.
- Making sure that their cabins are cleaned at the end of the weekend.
- If disciplinary action is needed, it is asked that the guardian be involved in the decision.
- If there is an emergency, the guardian is responsible for assisting with taking the young person to the hospital or home as needed.
The expectation is that while you are the guardian of someone at camp, you are responsible for that young person. This is a team effort, and the camp Leaders need your help in keeping track of the young people over the course of the weekend.
Camp Ladore has been historically run by brothers and sisters from amended ecclesias and the camp and the classes offered are based on the biblical teachings conveniently summarized by the Birmingham Amended Statement of Faith. The camp and the emblems will be organized and conducted on this basis.
